TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – the ways that Satguru protects his own…

How can we know the ways that Satguru protects his own?

There is nothing in the world that is safer than a child in the arms of its mother,
who would give up everything to protect her own.
There is nothing stronger than the cord of love
that binds a mother’s heart to her child.

The baby sleeps blissfully;
without concern for where it is going or how it will get there.
Its weight completely supported;
its vulnerable frame enveloped in the mother’s watchful care.

Does a child comprehend the perils that surround it?
Can that infant know the ways that its mother protects it?
Is it aware of how shielded it is; what threats and dangers
were avoided or deflected?

Does a babe have faith that it’s mother will feed it, or sincere hope that she will
keep it safe in the dark?
Does it pray and beseech its mother to nurse it?

No, these thoughts never enter a baby’s mind.
It has no concept of faith,
for there are no doubts.
Nor are there guilty resolutions to be more trusting and positive.

The mother gives and the baby receives; such is the simplicity of this natural law.

There is nothing in the world that is safer than a child in the arms of its mother.
Nor stronger than the cord of love that binds a mother’s heart to her child…

…nothing, that is, but the bond of the Satguru to his own.

For his seed is a spark of Soul;
his prodigy ~ each a child of nature
and he nurtures with the milk of Consciousness.

Such is the Satguru’s care …
…that we should be as innocent as a babe in his arms.
