The first part which I had written was in 2010 and had come to me by swamiji grace to write about it .And was also motivated by my friend asking me a very important question ..The question she had asked me was “why is it important to know ones true self.”..I will now write about my experience in 2013…

TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – Who Am I?

Article written in 2010
We do not belong to the physical body. Once we consider ourselves as the physical body, emotions such as suffering and fearfulness would be sure to accompany us. We should rather have our attention on the great spirit inside this physical body. which is called the soul, this is our real and true existence and reality. some may call it Buddha ,some may call it nature, some may called it the divinity of Christ etc…. These are all its real existence…
Since ancient times all saints and gurus have been well aware of this reality and truth , that’s why they always guide us to go inside and find out “who are you” , the real you, And also what purpose do you hold behind you being born? Once you question yourself and realize that you are a soul, you will be free from your ego accompanied with its flaws and you will achieve eternal joy and peace.
When you yourself do not know who you actually are , you are vulnerable in being caught up and trapped in forming an identity. For example if a person looses his job he would feel worried and lost as he already has an identity formed from his job.
However at the same time we cannot neglect our physical body on the spiritual part. As we require this body for the use of spiritual practice. For example if we wish to travel by road to a specific destination, we would require a vehicle to get us there, without a vehicle our task would remain incomplete. Therefore it is crucial that we have this vehicle which is our physical body but at the same time it is important to not consider ourselves as the car (physical body).
When a human being dies, only his physical body dies and get destroyed but the soul is immortal and goes beyond the boundaries of birth and death .Human beings become fearful before death as he feels he belongs to this physical body. Once death takes place, another birth comes along and we receive another physical body and the cycle carries on birth after birth until we reach the birth where we change our direction inward and find out who we really are.
If we remain aware and become watchful of ourselves every minute of the day and turn our attention inward, we will then gradually achieve the goal of finding ourselves. Every situation does not suddenly happen unexpectedly without any purpose. In reality it is your soul that creates the situation to guide you towards finding out who you really are ,and each situation is there to find the real you and destroy the layers of your identity.
When you feel that you are suffering and fearful you should ask yourself who am I?
It is my pure wish for everyone to join me in achieving the goal of finding our true self.

Experience in 2013
On the Morning of the Vesak day (24 May 2013),I had joined a few sadhaks from Singapore in visiting Junglee Maharaj’s Ashram in Shirdi. We had actually gone there to join in the bhajans that took place at the ashram..Once we arrived at the ashram we sat done and participated in the bhajans ,which brought alot joy, after some time we were going to leave whilst the bhajan were taking place ,however during the bhajans a lady from the ashram who is devotee of Junglee baba noticed we were of chinese origin and she started speaking to Shirley(Singapore sadhak),then when we’re going to leave she had asked if we would like to meet Junglee baba since we are here. We had agreed to meet him and thereafter she had arrange for the six of us to meet him .As we were awaiting Junglee baba presence we had felt that the hall is very small, yet the vibration present were extremely high. After some time Junglee baba entered the hall and personally handed over a photograph to each of us and some prasad with a very joyful happy smile and thereafter he had left. The person in the photograph given to us looked similar to an Avatar. The lady who arranged the meeting with him told us that Junglee baba was very happy to know that we all meditate that’s why he had smiled so happily, she had also explained that the photograph which Junglee baba had handed over to us is actually our soul. She then added that: if you have any problems or any questions in life, just cry and ask your soul, there is no need to cry and ask the anyone around you, as you will get the answer from your soul within.
After she had given this explanation, she had then invited us to have some lunch in the ashram’s canteen. In the midst of all of this we got to know from one person that Junglee baba is actually 150 years old and a little while later we got to hear from another person that his actual age is 500 years, So basically no one knew his current age, So we decided to ask the lady who we knew as to how old Junglee baba was. She smiled joyfully and said :” we had asked Junglee baba this question before and Junglee baba had replied back by saying :” I have no age, no race, no religion, nothing, I am just a soul.”.I loved the answer he gave as I felt it is very deep and contains high levels of wisdom in it.
Previously in my life I used to faced problems where I felt lost and upset and at the time, I used to ask swamiji to please guide me and I had surrendered to him completely but now once I returned from Junglee baba ashram and heard what the lady had told me about asking my soul for the answer I felt so confused as to what should I do because on the one hand I used to ask swamiji and now after visiting the ashram they are telling me to ask my soul within. This had caused allot of confusion and from this I began contemplating about it and finally came to the answer that swamji is our Sadguru and has given the birth of my soul and his teaching is that…. my soul should be my own guru and the lady is teaching me to go within to ask my soul ,So basically they are both teaching me one and the same thing. Once this was resolved I looked at the photograph with a smile and told my soul: Finally we meet again, please continuously remind me that I am you and you were me. (remind me that I’m a soul) …..Since then every morning I still practice this, and I feel very good.
Thank you beloved soul’s mother swamiji.
Thanks you all for reading my experience
