In fact before I wrote this article, I felt very depressed. After I had finished this article, my energies increased and I reached a happy emotional state and I knew that there was a lesson to be learnt and a meaning behind this problem I had faced.
Thank you Swamiji for giving me inspiration to write this article to share my spiritual practice with all of you.
And thank you my good friend, Miss Goh Siew Loo for helping me with the translation from Chinese to English.
Jai Baba Swami..:)

TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – Acceptance, surrender, thanksgiving.
At this very moment, I seem to realize, in each moment, the people, the things and situations that appear in my life was already planned by the God. By following the flow of the energy, I can experience the peace and calmness, then the situation around us will also change. My heart is full of gratitude.
Before each meditation, I will bow down to Swamiji and pray: “ Swamiji, I hope that my soul will be stronger than my body so that it can take control over my body. ” My truly experience is: When my plans hit an obstacle, I feel sadness and disappointment. Then..suddenly I recalled my prayer and started to realize this plan was created from my thoughts which my mind wanted to be fulfilled and even hoping that all the other wishes can come true accordingly. However Swamiji will know what is best for me and that he will give me the best arrangement. I strongly believe all is well planned but sometimes due to me being stuck in my mind and the ego being defensive; my mind blinds me from seeing it. But when I accepted the truth, my emotion begun to reach calmness and peace, in the silence and quietness I could clearly see that this was actually what the mind wanted and its wasn’t from the soul.
Acceptance is a change. If I correctly remember when reading Madhuchaitanya, a phrase from Swamiji said: You are still a child, and as a mother knows fire is dangerous, so I will not allow you to play with it , I will rather see you cry for a while, but I will not wish to see you cry forever. when I put this phrase in my heart, slowly I started to accept things to be as they are, no matter if they are good or bad, I believe that it was Swamiji‘s best arrangement for me.
When problem arises, I used to put it in heart and try to solve it. Now I have surrendered all my problems to Swamiji. Sometimes I would want to take back the problem to solve it, but I would remind myself since I believe that Swamiji will help me: “Why do I need to worry when Swamiji will know the best solution for me”. What I need to do is meditate, listen to Swamiji’s discourse and reading Madhuchaitanya to balance my state. Sometimes I even received the answer immediately during my meditation. I also know that if I am unable to surrender it is only because of my ego. Ego creates problems in our life, if we are free from ego then we not facing any problems at all. There is no coexistence between Ego and surrender.
When I started to stop paying attention or focus on my problem, the problem would solve unknowingly, may be this is not considered as a problem, it is my mind that has created the story. I was cheated by my mind and stuck inside the story. Furthermore, I am worrying about those things which will not be able to happen in future. Swamiji has also said before: one has to have complete faith when facing our problems, there are no problems in life which the Guru Energies cannot resolve. We have made the mistake by trying to solve our own problems our entire life: while this problem has not been solved the next problem arises, and then we forever unable to finish solving the problems and this removes our opportunity to stay happy in the present moment and experience the grace of Paramatma. Actually problem is a proximity to the god. Problem is a blessing, may be the problem is not package beautifully, but after you overcome it, it is a big gift from the existence to let you learn for your spiritual progress. If we putting lots of attention to the problem, we are actually giving the problem more power, not only will the problem remain unresolved; but the problem will create more complications.
Whenever I am feeling unhappy, I will ask myself: If I am not feeling happy now, then when shall I feel happiness? Should I wait until the Problem is solved? Sometimes I even ask myself…. do all wishes come true? These are all happiness states achieved from the physical level, and not the joy’s experienced at the soul level. Inner peace and joy doesn’t change .it is only external happiness which has always be changing. Feelings of the body belong to the physical level and the inner feeling belong to soul level. We always have lots of expectations and dreams. We feel sad when our expectations are not being fulfilled; and we feel happy when our dreams come true. Therefore our feeling have ups and downs because of countless desires we wish to fulfill, which is all at the physical level.
Guru has the ability to destroy our ego at any time, so we have to change ourselves in order to allow our guru to destroy our ego ….we need to appreciate, Instead of complain,
When you have overcome your ego state, your spiritual progress will grow very fast, and this is the process of inner transformation. When our ego is being blown to pieces we don’t feel good which is only last for a few moments, but after that you will feel joyful from inside. Sometimes I am not aware of myself , and I land up losing my temper and I make myself go crazy but I quickly become thankful that this has happened as I am now aware that there was something I needed to learn from it. Although I may not understand now, but I will still feel grateful for being in such a situation and appreciate the person who has given me this lesson to learn.
Giving gratitude and blessings to others creates great Positive Energies, which will bring us inner peace and inner joy.
If anything to say, it’s…

Dear Wai,
Thank you so much for that very heartfelt newsletter. I could really relate to it, especially when you said, “Whenever I am feeling unhappy, I will ask myself: If I am not feeling happy now, then when shall I feel happiness? Should I wait until the Problem is solved.” So often I find myself saying, “when I get through this, then my life will be better”…..but once “this” has been gotten through another “this” arises! As you said, to surrender and not focus on the problem is the way to find happiness and/or peace in our daily life.
Thank you again for this reminder,
Kate
