TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – Jai Baba Swami & Our Ego

A dark room. On top of a very high building. A girl in that room, alone in darkness…

She was in a deep thought. Asking herself questions, she could not find answers to. She looked very lost.

Then, seems like a girl finally made up her mind. She confidently stood up and walked towards the exit out of this room, went through long dark corridor, opened door at the end of it, and ended up walking to the edge of roof. It was midnight outside…

A girl stood on the edge of the roof for a second. A last thought which came to her mind was ‘What’s a meaning of all this?’.

Then she jumped.

When still falling down, she was analysing how she feels. A building was very tall… As she was approaching closer and closer to the ground, a girl was calmly looking deeper and deeper into herself. As if to see if she can still feel any fear left in her. Fear of losing herself. Fear of dying… and for some reasons she was feeling very calm. As if she knew she’s being looked after by someone. She is in good hands.

Finally she hit a ground. And everything around became dark. A girl died.

Then, all of the sudden, something extraordinary happened.

This same girl have risen up in the air, standing tall, shining bright, with her hands spread wide apart. She spun around few times and smiled. There was a big relief showing up on her face. Her face was glowing. She flew up and down, right above peoples heads. No one seemed to have noticed her…

Un-expectably, just like she appeared, a ‘New Born’ girl, full of joy & happiness, flew over people heads. And disappeared.

There was a lot of light in that area. It was very bright. Surprisingly still and peaceful…

I was standing with a group of people, co-workers on a building site, where I was working as a constructor. I could see some woman approaching. As she was passing us by, she said ‘jai baba swami’ to us. We all replied ‘jai baba swami’ (JBS) to her. Woman smiled and walked away.

Someone else passed us by and said JBS. Again, we all replied in a same way.

Only then it kinda hit me. Did we just had people on a street saying ‘jai baba swami’ to us? Here, in this western world society? And everyone (even builders!) are happily replying the same? With smiles on their faces??

I looked around. There were kids running outside in a park. Playing ball games, fooling around. So innocent and full of joy. Adults passing by, walking their own directions, minding their own things. Still, all looked as ONE. Smiling at each other, saying ‘jai baba swami’ to everyone they’d come across their way.

It was a beautiful day, atmosphere was very peaceful, complete and everything looked very balanced. Even kids.

I was very surprised to see people saying JBS in our city. I asked my co-workers ‘How come?’ They looked at me for a second and replied ‘Oh, the place is full of them. Jai Baba Swami’s are everywhere around here’. I found it very unusual.

Then I saw two business persons walking across the park. They were wearing very expensive suits and seemed to be some ‘high profile’ business people. Few kids kicked (accidentally) a ball towards them two businessmen. They smiled, happily kicked a ball, fooled around with kids for a minute, straightened up their hair and walked into tall glass building near a park. Looking happy and full of life.

I found it very strange… Big business people never do that! They normally are always too much involved in their own things…

What is this place? It seemed like paradise!

Only when I woke up and meditated early in that morning, I remembered this dream. It came back into my mind very clearly.

I was wondering – what if a place where we live in, would be like in that dream? What if a society, even in a western world (in fact, in any part of the world) would be living such bright, happy & balanced lives? At the end, is this not what we all want anyways? For ourselves, our families, our friends, all people around us?..

And, thanks to meditation practice, are we not already going towards that direction? While starting from ourselves, influencing our families, friends and surrounding us people?

Filling our hearts, then possibly our homes with love and positivity. Then perhaps, taking that positive energy outside our homes and spreading that light amongst our friends, others? Making our neighborhood, city, country, planet a better place to live in.

Was this dream not a vision of maybe where we are already heading to?

It feels, we are…

And a girl who jumped from a tall building? She didn’t jump to kill herself. She was never even up there… I understand a moral behind this dream was that, this girl was fighting her own mind, ‘not true’ self in her own life. It was her Ego which she had to learn how to let go, throw it down from a highest building. To destroy it, just to be born again…

PS#1: still not sure about everyone in this world going around and saying ‘jai baba swami’ to each other (or, who knows, some day maybe?.. 🙂 )

Yet again, letting go of Ego and throwing it down from a top of highest building – maybe is that starting point for most of us, which we can do. For a brighter, happier future & world for everyone, and around you…

PS#2: funny, I don’t usually remember much of my dreams, if any at all… so why this one? And why am I sharing it here with you?
