TOPIC FOR THE WEEK: Travelling with the Gurus – Samarpan Collectivity at St. David’s (Wales, UK)
Since some months there has been a great momentum building up in terms of events and gatherings of positive collectivity in the UK. We had a little Guru Karya gathering in Samarpan House in Leicester in September this year. Some sadhaks from London and Leicester had joined in for the Guru Karya. The energy in this gathering was so harmonious and it was as if this energy motivated some of us to come up with the idea of having a soulful get together in Wales.
Usually, events of this magnitude take up a considerable amount of effort and planning but in this case things were organised very smoothly. We had a very quick turn around and nearly twenty sadhaks from London and Leicester area decided to go for the weekend at St.Davids in Wales. Incidentally, a group of sadhaks from Wales were also planning a get together around the same date and it all resulted in a very positive, soulful and fun filled gathering.
We set off from Leicester on Friday 5th October. We could feel a change in the vibe as soon as we entered Wales. Swamiji had visited many places in Wales and energised and purified the aura of those places. Sadhaks from Leicester and some sadhaks from London had set off at 1 pm that day and we arrived at the Youth Hostel in St.David’s within minute of each other at 9 pm – as if the Guru Energies had timed it perfectly.
We had a wonderful meal followed by hours of soul stirring conversations while waiting for more Sadhaks from London to join us. We were all very tired from the journey but at the same time feeling very happy and excited to be there.
I woke up the next day to heaven. The sky was beautifully lit with rays of the rising sun and the country side was so serene and satisfying. We watched the sunrise and stood there in silence – satisfied internally, attuned with the divinity around.
We planned to climb up Carn Llidy, the mount in St.David’s which is the abode of the Guru Energies of UK. I am not much of a mountain climber but I found this experience very enjoyable, after all the Gurus were beckoning us 🙂
We gathered around the stone that Swamji had vibrated. Every one had a unique yet memorable experience with the stone.
Everyone was very happy to be on top of the mountain. The view was exhilarating; we were surrounded by the sea and vast meadows with the glorious sunlight shining onto us. We meditated on the mountain, guided by the cool breeze and accompanied by divine vibes.
We went on to St Nicolas Village Hall for get together with Sadhaks from Wales. We had a blissful meditation session and then we were taken to various sites of particular spiritual significance. Tim Simes was our guide for the tours. To me it seemed like a pilgrimage, visiting various sites that have been energised by Gurus and uncovering your truer nature.
We went to Llanhywel Church which has a standing stone energised by a Saint and then also energised by Swamiji. The meditative trance that it took us into was amazing. It had such a pulling quality to it that went there again on the next day.
We visited St David’s Cathedral and St Non’s. Throughout we were able to feel our connection with nature – it was such an elevating experience. We returned to St Nicolas Hall and the meditation session that followed was by far one of the best meditations I have ever had. Words were insufficient to describe our inner peace and joy that came with the meditation.

The next day we went for morning meditation by the Whitesands beach. Sea side meditations are very refreshing – the sound of the sea waves mingled with the Universal Vibration – Brahmanaad.
This was flowed by a sumptuous meal and some impromptu music composition at St.David’s
We had a short visit to Penhriw and various pilgrimage routes around. We felt like the pilgrims ourselves – charting our spiritual journey through the places energised by our Guru. In a way, each one of us is a modern day pilgrim, discovering our Soul and connecting with the Universal consciousness as we go through the myriad of experiences in our lives.
Neither the place nor any one of us wanted to let go of each other but we left with a promise to return back time and again to the wonderful vibes of St David’s, thanking our Sadguru Shivkrupanand Swami and the Guru Energies for this beautiful experience.
All of us had countless number of spiritual experiences and this space seems too little to recount it all – but it is something that we all will cherish and build upon. Here is wishing to many more such soulful gatherings.

Thank you Mat these words came into my head so I thought i would share them………………
The opaque depth of the of the infinate sky held us,
Being on this sacred land of St Davids joined us,
The collective meditation of Samarpan Souls united us,
We arrived separately to this ancient site of pilgrimage
We left this holy place as one!

Right at the top of mount Carn Llidy, on that blessed Saturday morning, I saw the soul of our beloved Guru. I am deeply grateful to all of you who made it up there, for making this experience possible.

Thanks Mat for sharing your experience of the amazing trip to Wales with your fellow pilgrims. What I love about this whole event is the wonderful collectivity amongst the souls who journeyed there in person and the souls who journeyed with you in spirit. It feels like it is first of many more such pilgrimages to come!

Jai Baba Swami. Thank you Matrishvan that is very beautifully written. Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences too. I was away since our wonderful gathering in Wales and couldn’t share my experience earlier or join our Wednesday session on skype.
That weekend I must say was much more than I could describe and put in any words. Each of us being there were walking lifted up from the ground. There was so much purity, joy, happiness, love, unity. Since the arrival night I felt connection and was surrounded all that time by the flow of consciousness. Our Guru presence was obvious ! What a blissful experience we were awarded !
Thank you guys you all are amazing !
Lots of love 😉

The Inner Calling
Living with Maria, I was able to watch very closely the unfolding of all the arrangements needed to make this Samarpan gathering possible.
Since the beginning, it was very clear that an Inner Calling had been sent out and it was beautiful to watch how the group of those answering the calling grew everyday. At some point there seemed to be not enough beds available and Maria was ready to sleep under the stars!!
I must confess that I had extremely high expectations about what we were about to experience in Wales. I knew it would be a landmark in every possible way, and not surprisingly, my expectations were exceeded by far. But then again that’s how things have happened in my life since I have connected with Swamiji last January…a spiral of bliss, joy, hapiness.
That Saturday in Wales was the most perfect and happiest day…..I was finally at home, meeting my true family. It made me fully realise that the painful path that I had to walk in order to come to the UK had been worthwhile.
And for the second time this year, the overwhelming feeling that I had been born again….
Let’s just do it again!!!
