Samarpan Online Group Meditation Newsletter

TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – Ikea and Samarpan meditation.

As nutty as it may seem, I was working Friday putting together some office furniture made by Ikea. And with every item comes a instruction how to put the object together.

The instruction’s is just simple drawings with not one word of text. Showing what one needs then stage by stage drawings untill you reach the last page and there you have it office furniture.

But along the way things do not seem to work out, I took a meditation stance and made some comparisons. The simplicity of the instruction and what will happen if you put the logic to one side and be part of the job infront of you. Even though things did go wrong I found myself looking back with a open mind and simply moving on.

As with Samarpan the simplicity, and writtings and the collective all there to help us reach a level of happiness.

Thank you.

Smedley.

It always puts a smile on my face when I read Smedley’s comments, or contents…very simple and straight to a point… :-))) Simplicity…that’s exactly what meditation is all about, isn’t it? 🙂 Nice one!

    Thanks Smedley!
I guess, just like putting together IKEA furniture, the spiritual path is a step by step process. If we find that some element is missing along the way, then we may need to deal with that. But generally, if we just follow the instructions, we will achieve our goal!

Yeah, simplicity is the key of the game! we try to think hard about all this sometimes, but we shouldn’t. We just need to ‘look back at the instructions’ like Smedley did, with an open mind, and no thoughts, and things will move along!
    Thanks Smedley 🙂

    Very nice indeed!
I would say that the drawings are to emotions and feelings, what the written instructions are to thoughts. As long as you are connected with the Guru, your feelings are always right, which isn’t the case with your thoughts. So, don’t get your thoughts get in the way of what you feel… It works for me….

Sometimes Words are for no use. Also people in the ancient times had have pictures and sounds but nor Words as a language. Simplifiying it a Need, that we all have in our intellect world
