FOCUS FOR THE WEEK – Spiritual Energies will be obtained automatically, only through proximity
“How could this be? How could spiritual energies be obtained automatically and through what kind of proximity?”
Samarpan Yog Part II, side 253: “…..the process of receiving and giving stops automatically. Then all the Karya just happens in the same way that a lighted lamp remains steady in one place and keeps burning. Then an unlit lamp comes near it and the flame of the burning lamp just touches the unlit wick and the unlit lamp is lighted and begins to give light like the lighted lamp.
So did the burning lamp light up the unlit lamp?
No. It was steady in its own place, but the second lamp came in its proximity and got lighted; and if the container of the unlit lamp is bigger and contains a lot of oil, then the lighted lamp must definitely have been happy that this lamp whose container is bigger and which contains more light was lighted through it and now this lamp would brighten up more and more people.
The situation of the Spiritual Energies is also similar, and obtains them automatically.
No one can give them and no one can accept them. These energies are available only through proximity. The energies are very subtle and are not visible, and they can only be experienced. Both the giver and the receiver experience them and both become happy with this experience. All of us were experiencing similar happiness. All of us were very happy and this was the reason why a very good atmosphere had been created”.

As Gurudev has told us: Efforts and expectations have no place in the spiritual field. This means they are of no use and they turn out to be hindrances in our spiritual journey although we all have been grown up with these qualities and also feel them daily while we are staying in society.
Imagine, to just letting them no space in our life! Imagine, instead of using efforts, using full trust in our Gurudev! Imagine, instead of having expectations, having faith that our spiritual progress will flow automatically! Imagine, instead of watching out for the darkness, watching out for our inner lamp and inner happiness!
Let’s talk about how we could remember that and practice this 🙂

Thanks, perhaps i needed this advice and distraction!
Efforts and expectations have no place in my day to day life too.
Everything is for me , if not for HIM (Sadguru).
Then we will never get disappointed! only enjoyment happens. And you see a whole new world.
Spiritual energies can be obtained when you give up your EGO(I sense) and also when you surrender without a thought to your well being.. When this state happens, you are connected to the Universal consciousness and Energies or words of wisdom pour in.
Big problem is, when we become blinking lights!……means we suffer when it goes out and feel good and balanced when ON.
I feel practice , surrender and devotion to Sadguru is the answer. That’s proximity.
