Dearest friends.

I wanted to share with you something I wrote during my stay at the Ashram in 2009-2010. Swamiji had said on occassions – ‘make the sky your Guru’, and ‘make the sun your Guru’. I believed for many years I didn’t have ‘skills’ for writing, but I realized at the Ashram that when you’re connected to Supreme Consciousness your Creative Power flows, and beauty expresses iself in many ways. The inmense power and force of being in the present is such, that there is emptiness within, peace to be, calmness to express, and love to vibrate. I was observing, and writing, and by the end of thie text, I had the wonderful experience that I had made the sky my Guru!!

TOPIC FOR THE WEEK – PARAMATMA in the sky

The sky is turquoise/grey, light blue and pale brown, it is wide open and extends in consciousness the way Paramatma (God/Supreme Soul) is showing me truth. What is. The sky is so still yet so vibrant. I can hear the ducks nearby. I can see energy in the sky yet at the same time I can’t see it. It’s all-pervading yet takes shape and form according to what’s in the environment – the air, the far away smoke, the palm trees. The birds are quiet. I can only hear one or two giving sounds of end-of-day and a few flying about and jumping on the ground showing their coating to me: black outline with white and brown filling. One of the birds is touching its tail to the ground as if to show me its beauty. I feel my Sahastrar chakra obtaining chaitanya and opening like a lotus flower.

A flock of birds has just appeared in the sky – skydiving like paragliders and floating with the energy. Fifteen minutes have gone by and the sky (to my eye) remains unchanged – the stillness, the vastness and intensity of the pale colours is still there – Consciousness is very apparent to me now and I pray that I can experience the Supreme Soul like this daily – and always in my life. I pray that my soul awakens every day more, leaves the layers of illusion behind and becomes capable of merging with you Paramatma feeling no separatness nor distinction.

The sky has become my Guru – today it has taught me the vastness of Consciousness, its beauty, its never ending quality and the re-assurance that Paramatma is all-pervading and eternal, that it can and will lift me up when the illusion of life takes over me. The sky will always hold my spirit and open the gateway of the energy quality in my being.

(p.s. – when I left the Ashram I realized this wish had become true – I noticed that on a daily basis I was automatically stopping for moments/minutes/half hour-hour to contemplate the beautiful sky, and the relationship with the sky was a new and different one – I was in awe of it; I was basically in love. And this love kept me going effortlessly).
